Pima County Flood Insurance Rate Map Upgrade Scope of Work
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in partnership with Pima County and incorporated communities, is upgrading the Flood Insurance Rate Maps for the county. The current Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) were last published in February 8, 1999. The upgraded maps will depict flood hazard data overlain on recent aerial photographs provided by the county and the U.S. Geological Survey. In addition, the data will be provided in a GIS format, which will allow municipal governments to combine it with their local GIS for floodplain management and land use planning.
